随着新学期的结束，思维上也有了长进。

这学期是个漫长的学术之旅，沉重的课业与源源不断的考试已是家常便饭。但领悟的是，人生本就是一连串无止终的考验，唯有坎坷的途径才能磨练出始终不懈，坚韧不拔的毅力。

心，也懂得敞开了许多。曾听过：瞄准的箭支虽未必能正中箭靶中心，但至少也离目标不远。面对未知的未来，虽未必能得心所愿，虽所付出的努力都可能付诸于东水，但艰辛的过程才是造就人生的钥匙不是吗？

匆匆的三个月，明白羡慕与比较是无谓的。偶尔会想，为什么某某人会有如此傲人的天赋？回头三思，原来我有的他也没有啊！！梅虽逊雪三分白，雪却输梅一段香应该就是这个意思吧！

最终，很庆幸顺利地度过了大二第一学期，未来的考验还是未知数，但把握当今的快乐应更为重要，加油吧！！

First Blog during Summer Break!!

Okay, guess what, just in a glimpse of eye, the pages of calendar have flipped through over 100 pages!!! Means, I was getting rusted for over 3 months!! Time flies especially during enjoyable moment…

My daily schedule includes eating, watching movies, playing games, surfing net, sleeping and bathing… what a “packed” routine!!!

Just got back from PC Fair PISA Penang last Saturday and brought myself a Dell Studio 1555 with RM3299, approximately 1000CAD. I guess it’s a nice deal as the specifications really fulfill my requirements:

1) Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 (2.53GHz)
2) 4GB DDR2 RAM
3) 320 GB Hard Drive
4) 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570
5) Windows Vista Home Premium with Windows 7
For those who don’t know, my “betrayer” Toshiba has left me for more than 2 months. I try to get it fixed but gave up eventually after consulting 3 technicians with a coincidental same answer: “Getting a new one is cheaper than repairing it”!!

My holiday is actually the longest among my friends who are going overseas. By the end of this month, 6 of my friends will be going to US, UK, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan to continue their educational voyage.

Now, I am waiting for my flight back to Toronto on 3rd of Sept. Gonna miss the nice and cheap food in Malaysia again.

Short Exam Break!!

Well, i have finished 3 of my final exams, which are Calculus, Electric Physics and Circuit as well as Material Science. No comments about the test, let them vanish from my mind for the next 4 months.

I am addicted to Britain Got Talents these few weeks. This show really impresses and amuses me with all the talents shown on the stage. Dancing, singing, martial art, acting, comedy or even more you can find in it.

As for me, the most phenomenal performances in the show are all from young kids. I am totally astonished by their brilliant singing and confidence on the stage. These young geniuses can sing or dance even better than the professional singers and dancers. For instance, my favourite performances are from Charlie Green and Shaheen:

There are so many talented people in this world regardless their age and gender. I feel I am so tiny in this world now.. Anyway, I still have Dynamics Exam to go. Good luck everyone...

好久没写部落格了，这网页也变得生疏了许多!!

是时候写写来到加拿大的生活了。来到这枫叶之乡可说是上天的恩赐，风景宜人不再说，安宁的社会，繁华的城市，友善的居民，都是它独有的国际名誉!!

城市的面容

多伦多比想象的还要好，非常多元文化，哪个国籍的人都可一眼而目，根本没有种族歧视的问题，因为你根本搞不清楚他们到底是哪国人。哪象某某国家，有事没事就把敏感课题搬上政治舞台，搞得人憎鬼厌。

心旷神怡的景色

在这儿留学，读书考试压力依然沉重，艰难的试卷与繁多的作业偶尔会把心气推入谷底。但领悟到的是，考试不是象以往死背书那么简单，惟细腻的思维与创意的角度方能脱颖而出。上大学不是件容易的事哟!!

来到这里，也注意到了西方的开放与东方的保守同时出现在枫叶之土。人们的和睦共处真让人感到平静。没宗教与种族主义的存在，安宁的读书环境就是它的特色。人们脸上的微微笑颜，使得人与人之间的联系更加密切。

A break for busy life....

I am just too busy with my midterms, tests, quizzes, assignment these few weeks. Finally, the reading week has come to rescue all the students from these devils.

There were a lot of things happened recently, and most of them were not favorable for me. Some problems entangled me in the mist of confusion for many days. I think I am too pessimistic sometime.

I have bought my flight back to Malaysia on 9th May, and will travel in Hong Kong for 5 days. There are 20 more Malaysians in the same flight to this Hong Kong trip where I have never expected. This will be a good memory for us to study in overseas.

I have no idea what to write about recently. Sorry for the lack of update!! Hope that next post will be written under a good mood.

Wowowo!!! I have left this blog unattended for more than one month!!! Why? Because I am too busy with my winter break tour....

I have fully used my whole winter break to travel around. Thanks to all my friends from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Windsor, Peterborough and Hamilton for giving me a memorable winter break!!

The Chinese New Year is coming soon... I hope it will be a a wonderful celebration in Toronto!!

Learning, learning and learning.......

Stepping on the country of maple leaf, I am proud of myself to be called an "International Student" in the University of Toronto. I have never expected to secure a scholarship and study abroad. With determination and diligence in high school, I have been paid off with a prestigious JPA scholarship.

However, attaining the eligibility as a scholar and undergraduate student is not the final destination of learning, but the beginning of the real challenge. It is definitely not easy to survive in a place which is 14,723 kilometers away from your homeland. So, the methods to succeed in life are learning, learning and learning.

I have been asking myself before coming to Canada: “What should I learn from studying overseas?” . A short and precise question, yet 4 years are needed to answer it.

I have made a short list on the skills that I need to equip myself along the 4 YEARS of learning journey:

1) Learn to be independent

2) Learn to be confident

3) Learn to be fluent in speaking and writing English
(As I am quite weak in this language.)

4) Learn to be optimistic
(I am pessimistic sometime.)

5) Learn to communicate well
(I found out that people can’t understand me well.)

6) Learn to cook

7) Learn to be contented with myself
(In term of my achievement, ability and....)

8) Learn to adapt the different culture

9) Learn to be matured in thinking

10) Learn to be happy

11) And lastly, learn to be PRO in playing DOTA
(I am still NOOB in this game.)

Apparently, the last one is not necessarily to be learnt in studying overseas; however, as a JPA scholar, good academic achievement is not enough, superior standard of gaming skill is also needed.

I have abandoned this blog for more than 3 weeks....I was rushing the annoying CDS assignment for the last few days. I really hate ESP (Engineering Strategies and Practice) from the first day I got back my email assignment. Anyway, it is just first term, don't care!!!!!!

After all the infuriating assignment, here comes the final exam. WTF... For the calculus, the professor has taught until chapter 7.7, yet I am just at chapter 5.7, haiZ!!! While for the linear algebra, the terrible professor really drives me crazy. I never skip any of the linear class, but I also never understand anything from the long lecture.

Now, I have to start revising (No, should be called "start trying to understand") the notes that I copied from the lecture class. I just realized that how stupid I was for copying the notes that were already inside the textbook rather than concentrating on the professor's explanation.

Final is coming, yet I just finished playing Red Alert 3, wakaka!!!! The stupid RA3 makes my computer automatically shut down for 3 times. I think the graphic requirement for this game is too high and my computer can't' support it.

Everyone!!! Please wish me good luck for this final as I have slacked off too much. Hope that I can get above average, hahaha!!!

Tiring day.......

Today is a truly tiring day for me. After 7 hours of lectures and tutorials, some of us went to the Stanford Fleming Atrium to enjoy beers.... ( Who are we? Engineers!!! What do we drink??? Beers!!!! ) Now I am a real engineer, hahaha....

Innis Residence is the best residence in U of T ( I think so ). However, the main problem of staying here during the weekend is hard to decide where to eat and what to eat because we don't have a meal plan. There are no food stalls and restaurants, where you can find easily in Malaysia, near our residence area.

I just come back from China Town with my housemates, Wen Cheng and Wilson to buy some food and daily necessities for the weekend. Suck!!! It was raining on our way back to the residence. Although it was just a light drizzle, it drove us crazy as we were carrying a lot of stuffs and rushing back to our residence. We talked a lot of crap along the way, and "加拿大的香蕉冷的咯~" is our main title for today.....

Anyway, we can polish our cooking skill in Innis where it is essential when we stay outside for our upper years. Also, it is much cheaper to cook ourselves than eating outside. This is definitely another benefit of staying in Innis besides its lower residence fees compared to other student residence.

And now, I have to do my computer lab, mechanics tutorial and prepare for my linear algebra midterm next week. There are numerous assignments and tests while studying in U of T engineering course, but it is beneficial for us as we can keep track of our standard of understanding in a particular subject..

Although it is tiring, but I am happy and ready to face the challenge... Good luck for all my fellow friends especially who are taking engineering course. Let study harder so that we can learn more for the sake of our future....

Emptiness conquers my soul......

Recently, i am depressed for no certain reasons.....

I realize that I am no longer the one who always put the smile on my face. I still remember, many friends asked me before " Why you always smile??" My reason was "No reason, i like smiling."

Now, emptiness has conquered my soul and I am in a melancholy mood. I still can't find the absolute reason behind it. Is it because of my academic performance, relationship with other or homesickness? I have no idea.

I am the one who motivate others to be happy and positive before, but now I am the one who need that. I will be dejected just because of some insignificant failures or incidents....

What's wrong with me? Maybe I just need someone to comfort me........

Anyway, I plan to buy a psp to get rid of the sorrow, hope it will help.....

School Days....

In fact, I thought that university life would be more relaxing compared to high school, but it turns out to be the opposite side. In University of Toronto, the weekly midterm examination will rip off your lunch time and makes you starve for the whole afternoon. (This happened to me.)

I have 26 hours of lecture, practical and tutorial weekly for Electrical and Computer Engineering course. If you divide by 5, then everyday I suppose to have 5 hours and 12 minutes classes. However, the time gap between every class make me sick because I can't really study during these breaks. Meeting time for the ESP ( Engineering Strategy and Practice) will further shorten my time for entertainment, sad!!!!

Anyway, I still can cope with the weekly tough assignment and homework. Luckily standard of midterm exams and quizzes are moderate for students. ( I think so)

However, my perspective change today!! The ESP midterm exam is excruciatingly difficult!! Although I have studied for 2 days just to ameliorate my inferior mark in the previous assignment, I found that this midterm exam would further exacerbate my grade. Multiple choices examination is always the format we are looking for in the past, but this exam has 7 options ( A B C D E F G ) for every question which raises the difficulty of the test..... I hope that everyone has a good sense of intuition when guessing the correct answers.

In conclusion, never expect an easy test coming out in the future or you will fail your course in the very first term of your university life.

Malaysian Lantern Festival in Toronto....

Yesterday, 19th September 2008, almost all JPA scholars from all parts of Ontario gathered in Queen's Park, Toronto to celebrate the significant Lantern Festival. This was the first time I celebrate Mooncake Festival in overseas, cool!!!

Before I came to Toronto, I was struggling to decide whether going to Toronto or Vancouver (If you are my good friends in Taylors, you should know that I am supposed to go UBC.) Now, although I still have sense of loneliness, I know I am brave enough to make a change in my life. Frankly, I miss my friends in Vancouver, Taylor, MRSM and Gurun when I feel alone.

Anyway, this is my choice and I must continue my journey. I am trying to make as many friends as I can here so that I can get rid of homesickness.

This lantern festival brought a new prospective of life to me. I found out that if someone never try to change himself, he will never improve.

I really enjoyed myself in this Lantern Festival. I know there are still many friends beside me when I feel alone.

Time flies when you are busy with your life, that is absolutely true. I have arrived in Toronto, Canada for 12 days.... Still in the process of adapting myself with the weather and food here.

For those who concern about me, thanks because I am very fine here. Although Toronto is very cold, the people here are nice and friendly. I can hear Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Cantonese, English everywhere in this metropolitan city. Many different races in Toronto that you can't believe it is a western country.

Anyway, I have yet to adapt myself to the food and weather here because it is extremely different from Malaysia. Also, the tap water is drinkable in Canada where you can see people drinking the tab water.

Confirmed Flight

Finally, toronto flight has been fixed on 27th, 28th and 29th August. I am assigned to the third group, which is the last one to fly. Depart from KLIA, we will pass Los Angeles and then reach Toronto on 30th. There are 21 of us in group C.

Knowing that i will leave home for 4 years, I went to have a memorable dinner with my family and relatives at Autocity, Penang. There is a magnificent foreign food street there and many fast food shops. Although the price was a bit expensive, happiness we gained there were far more outweighed the cost itself.

I miss my family now......

最近有感而发，想写写中文，寻回当华人的尊严。

我待在家已有两个月了，尽量陪家人度过这出国前的日子。

不过，每天都不知道要干嘛？闷到看电视能看半天......

看到北京2008奥运会的辉煌庆典，生为海外华裔，深感骄傲。

虽然我自小就缺乏运动天分，见证中国为奥运举办国，还是会觉得很高兴。

还有8天，08.08.08 就到了!!!

发发发的奥运，真让人期待，希望马来西亚能够夺金而归!!!

BTN & Pre-Departure Talk

Woowww.... I have left my blog unattended for more than 2 weeks. Now, let talk about my BTN and pre-departure talk which were really important to make me eligible to fly..

BTN, far much better than what I have expected.... There were 3 rooms in a row inside a dorm with toilet at the back.The toilets were clean enough as nobody wore their shoes inside.The beds were quite cozy compared to NS, lolz.... Food?? Quite tasty except the beef because I can't eat beef. As for the programs conducted, most of them were based on patriotism and political issues. Nothing much to say about that, just my facilitators were quite nice to us. And for the physical tests, quite easy for a normal student... For me, it was not a test, but a game....

COnclusion..... BTN is not as boring as you think...Try it out and you will like it (As our faci said, it all about your mind set, be active and you will find it interesting..) For me, the main factor made me feeling great for this program was that all friends can be together again before we fly, really really appreciate our friendship.....

Oh, another thing, is anyone know what is CENGCALOK??? Our funny faci kept on repeating this word......

For the Pre-Departure Talk, my first impression about JPA building is..... the hall so high class and spacious... All scholars and parents just filled up not more than 30% of the auditorium. Anyway, my flight has been fixed on 29th August 2008, from Kuala Lumpur - London - Toronto with MAS airline service. Brazer and money have been distributed to us........ Quite satisfy with the brazer and the briefcase...hehe.....

PS 2 is always the best company when boredom overwhelms my life. Let me introduce some must-play games that fill up every crevice of my free time...

1) Onimusha : Dawn of Dreams
The main character in this game is Soki, son of Hideyoshi Toyokomi. His dad, Nobunaga's successor became the new ruler of Japan. With the rise of an eerie crimson star to East, Hideyoshi underwent an evil transformation, spreading malice and cruelty to all lands. The game is a journey of how his son, Soki rescue his dad from the claw of devil and find out the secret behind. The swordsmanship and magical skills will surely amaze you. Try it out..

2) Devil May Cry 3: Dante 's Awakening
Wow, this is the best action game I has ever played. We can choose to use short range, long range, defensive or evasive play styles according to the games' situation and the weaknesses of each boss. This game is about battle between 2 sons of Sparda, Dante and Virgil, who are half-human-half demon creatures with the supernatural lineage. Have you seen someone takes a guitar as a weapon? If your answer is no, then you should give this game a try.

3) Final Fantasy XII: The Secret That Will Unravel an Empire
My favourite series of Japanese game: Final Fantasy, a fabulous RPG which drives you to the dream of magical world. I have tried out many episodes of Final Fantasy games, and this one appears to be an extraordinary version with its natural and human-like fighting scenes. The game takes place in a world called"Ivalice", in an age when magic was commonplace and airships plied the skies, crowding out the heavens. A world of many races, the human, baagaa, viera and moogles, all called Ivalice home. (All these races look like creatures except human) The story is about a group of determined humans defending for their Kingdom of Dalmasca (Am I right? I forgot some parts of the story) and find out the conspiracy behind each invasion and betrayal. It is indeed a good game.

4) Fatal Frame III : The Tormented
Don't ever try this game if you are the kind of person who scream yourself into fits when seeing a shadow flow by your sides. Taking the popular Japanese Horror theme to a whole new terrifying level, it is an interactive experience as the player takes on the role of Rei (The woman in the picture), a cursed young woman whose overwhelming guilt and tormented dreams lead her into a formidable world where the lines between reality and nightmares are blurred. My brother has finished this game before me, so it was quite easy for me to clear the missions. An US agent, Leon Kennedy has been tasked to look into the abduction of the President's daughter and his investigation had led him to a mysterious location in Europe. As Leon encounters unimaginable horrors, he must find out the way to overcome this fear, which is killing the boss of these zombies. It is really a thrilling game, with lot of gunshots scene and terrible bloody corpse scatter on the flood. Ohya, the woman inside the picture is Ada.

After a year of weariness in ICPU program, I have graduated. The first time I stepped into Taylor's University College was 7 July 2007, and the last day I left it was 12 June 2008 ( 13 June actually because of JPA psychology test) Now, I am at home, home that I will leave after 2 months. Tomorrow will be my graduation ceremony for International Canadian Pre-University Program. I am really looking forward to attending this important ceremony before I fly to Toronto, Canada.

ICPU Graduation BBQ Party.....

Yesterday, most of us, ICPU JPA students gathered at the Ridzuan BBQ spot to celebrate our graduation. It has been 1 year we are in Ridzuan, Taylors, ICPU. Tight relationship has been fostered among ourselves. My formula is :

Graduation = Happiness + Friendship + Achievement ++ Air Kolam!!!!

Why Air Kolam??? Because I was thrown into the swimming pool by Wen Cheng, Elmo, Peter and Sarunan.... Really felt innocent initially, but it was really fun, Wakaka!!!! This was the first time I entered swimming pool like this. Really "Thanks" to four of them. But my friend, Kah Cai was hurt by them due to his refusal to be thrown inside. A bit pity him.

The BBQ food was more than we expected. What a waste when we left a lot of food on the table. All of us were full eating the nuggets, fried meehun and fried rice. Still the BBQ chickens were not served.

A ridiculous accident happened when we started to barbecue the chickens and corns. Someone was pouring water from higher stairs to our BBQ grill, so disgusting because we didn't know whether that was plain water or toilet water. Anyway, we changed to another spot after being annoyed by this. Thanks Alex Chai , Hung Keat and Xiang Quan.

We played card after eating the food. "Dai Di" was a suitable entertainment. Yeoshin aka dailou, Wei ren, Xiang Quan, David, Leong, Siew Fong ( Is this her name??), Steven and I were the participators. David and I won most of the games, wakaka!!! Steven really "sui yehhh"..... And here, I want to salute to Nana as she was the only one BBQ the chickens and served us although she was not the committee of this party.

After being thrown into the pool, I went back to take a bath as I had a little flu yesterday. It's really happy to be together before we separate our ways to Canada. Thanks to Alex Chai, Leong Wei Jiea, Chook Xiao Wei, Alyssa Grace Lai, Constance Yuen, Hii Wei Xin, Wong Ai Vern, Thuraya (Sue), Ooi Xiang Quan, Asyraf b. Abd. Rohman for conducting this significant party for all JPA ICPU scholars.

Bad Mood!!!!!!!

I am totally in bad mood today...

Most of the time, I wouldn't care about other's criticism because I know they are joking with me. I always understand this concept. I will, as usual, face it with a smile and forget about it the next day.

But, my perception changes recently. Those offensive words keep on repeating on my mind and entangle my emotion. I just don't understand why someone can be so annoying who always criticizes others but don't even realize his own fault.

Do you think you are so perfect that make you eligible to judge people by your own opinion?? Do you ever think of how would people feel if you always say such insulting word? You may think that I am so short temper and cannot make fun with other, maybe I am.... but just think back, if you stand on my situation, how will you feel?

Someone said "Hardworking is a symbol of "kiasu"... Huh!!! I was shocked when I heard about this. I just think that hardworking is just an attempt to achieve higher goal knowing that no one is really a genius. I have heard that 1% intelligence and 99% diligence are needed to succeed. So, is it really "kiasu"???

Everyone has his limit and thing that he cannot tolerate with.. And maybe...... I am just a narrow person.

(I am not intended to blame or reproach anyone, I just want to share my inner feeling.... My advice, just be wise and tolerate, think twice before you do or say anything...)

29 May 2008, the last day in ICPU before the final exam.... A memorable day.....

Feeling of reluctance to leave all ICPU lecturers and friends stroke all of us in the class. We have been together for more than 9 months..... working together, laughing together, acting together.....Indeed, we all really enjoyed the process of learning and being together....

Let's me introduce all my lecturers here:

Physics, Sir Robert Gillick
He was the best science teacher I have ever had. His teaching skill and wide knowledge really impressed all of us in the class. He is now in Africa to explore the other side of his journey.

Chemistry, Sir Leslie
He is a fresh teacher who major in Biology but is teaching Chemistry in Taylors. He is a humorous teacher and brought a lot of fun to us.

Eng3u, Miss Ungku Nazli
She is a very good teacher who always takes care of students' affairs and shares her opinions about everything with us. She seems like our friend more than our lecturer.

Calculus, Miss Gan Yen Sen
My mentor in Taylor, who is a strict and experienced teacher in teaching. Anyway, she is excellent in teaching calculus and advanced functions.

LAN, Mr William
I would say he is a good teacher who understands students' attitudes and behaviors. Presenting a lot of funny stuffs in the class made LAN the most relaxed class in ICPU.

Geometry, Miss Joanne Ho
She is a lenient and kind lecturer who is friendly to every student. Most of us like to attend her class as she is a diligent and conscientious lecturer.

Eng4U, Miss Kimberly
Miss Kim is the most respectable and knowledgeable English teacher I have ever had. She likes traveling very much and has been to many countries. She is perfect in teaching and commenting students as she always says "Excellent!!! very well done!!! very good!!! nicely done!!!" for every student's performance.

Computer Science, Sir C.M. Hiung
A new lecturer in Taylors, who always tries his best in teaching and learning. He is immensely enthusiastic in computer science and coding. Besides, he is friendly with every student.

Thank you to all my ICPU lecturers and friends for accompanying me in finishing my Pre-u program and put a wonderful "full stop" mark in my college life.

Along the way of finishing my CPT assignment, I found some really offensive quotes that may make all women around the world be mad. Maybe this was how the ancient society treated their daughters or wives, but I would not be that kind of person, I swear with my life!!!!!!

Here are some of the disgusting, loathsome, nasty, repulsive, revolting and vile quotes that discriminate against women:

Homesickness!?!?!?!.....

If you ask me, "Are you homesick??", I would say " No, never.. ". In fact, it is totally impossible for a normal person to say " never" in this matter, so as I. I have cheated....

Maybe because of my hostel secondary school life, I have trained myself to be more independent than other people. There are three consecutive holidays for this weekend, but I do not plan to go back since ICPU is going to finish..

Still remember how I struggled in MRSM life, without accompanied by parents and old friends, I felt lost at the beginning. Luckily, I didn't leave this boarding school because I gained so many things and significant lessons from there. ( At least I learnt how to "berdikari - berdiri di kaki sendiri)

Today, I went out with Chun Seong, Jia Er, Chiew Yee, Wen Ying (my junior) and Zulfadhli (my Malay friend). It was so nice to meet they all at Mid Valley. It has been quite a while since our last gathering. Maintaining eternal friendship with old friends is equally important with making new friends. ( Wen Ying, time will prove everything, your hard work will be paid off with good outcome if you know you have tried your best, good luck!!!! Never give up ok? )

Recently, I feel that I have become a lazy person.... I admit, I am the kind of person who will finish everything earlier even the deadline is a week or a month later. I used to finish my assignment and homework as early as I can, but now, I become an indolent and undisciplined person.

When I was free, I would spend my time on anime and msn rather than doing assignment. I have changed to a different person. My spirit in learning has gone because of entertainment and temptation around me. How should I change back to my previous learning attitude??? I can't concentrate on my studies recently. Too many distractions and obstacles around me.

From now on, I promise myself that no more excuses and reasons for me to dilapidate my time on education. Idleness is the root of all failures, while diligence is the key to success. Please advise me when I am lax in learning and scold me without hesitation if I have done something wrong.

Laziness is the hindrance of success, while assiduity is the propellant of accomplishment.

Just discussed no more than 2 hours, Meng Zhen said ,"Tomorrow go Genting lo, one day trip". I said, "Ha, why so rush????" Jing Hang and Asako said, "Okok, go genting!!". And Bung Bung Dailou -yeoshin, said, "Ok also, this is my first time!!"

So, 12 hours after we decided, six of us, Meng Zhen, Dailou, Jing Hang, Asako, Kok Leong and me started our trip to genting. Let use picture to show the whole journey....

Decision

I have deleted my previous post "Hesitation", as a prove of my determination.

I just paid for UBC's residence's fee yesterday, and today i say "I want Toronto, finally". Some might say that I am so stupid, just paid it but refuse now. I will tell them, "At least I have bought a decision".

"GO according to your heart" is really true now. I was confused by weather and friends factors yesterday. After asking myself, allergic is really a bad reason for being an obstacle of my dream.

After convincing my parents, I feel great because I believe in myself eventually.

I went to consult Mr. Frank with Kai Ling this morning, and our conclusion is " Toronto is our choice".

Although a lot of our friends plan to pursue their undergraduate studies at UBC, Mr. Frank said "Weather, Living Cost, Friends shouldn't be the main factors to affect your choice!!! GO according to your heart.."

So far, just a few of us decide to go Toronto. (Most people still hesitate where to go) If you ask me why I choose Toronto, I would say:

1) Toronto is the top university of engineering in Canada.
2) City life is preferable for me.
3) Campuses in University of Toronto are so artistic.
4) I like snow, where it is hard to be found in Vancouver.
5) Working salary must be higher in great city.
6) Complete transportation system and near to USA (New York).
7) Apparently better teaching method and experienced lecturers.
8) Elegant and beautiful accommodation.
9) Things in Toronto are cheaper than in Vancouver. (Mr. Frank informed us)
10) Toronto night view is magnificent and spectacular.

If you ask me why I don't choose University of British Columbia, I would say "I don't know", because both of them are very very reputable and famous universities.

PS: Please give me comments on which universities you choose and why???

Geometry Project and Presentation........

Let me introduce my group "great" production -- "Golden Gate Bridge"
dadada tang.......

Not bad right? With whole red colored bridge and parallel lines and planes, it really looks like the real San Francisco Bridge. It is not an easy job to construct a bridge with so many straight lines because you cannot really adjust the bridge to exactly 90 degree. However, seem like we have done it. (A bit "senget" pretend cant see ya). Thanks to Lester and Wei Ren.

Let me tell you a bit about how we completed this bridge. Start from Wei Ren, whenever I asked him to do project, he would say "Walauyehkkk.... Tonight have to dota lahhhh...... Tomorrow la....." or "I want to go back this weekend lo, you all do first la......". Although he always have many excuses, sometimes he was quite cooperate with me in doing the thing. OK, now is Lester's turn. Different with Wei Ren, Lester always say "Can I come a bit late, I have ..... tests tomorrow" or "I am eating now, what don't you all tell me earlier leh???" Here is another good member of our group. Anyway, he will come to do whenever i ask him. (But Lester, you still owe me 15 ringgits, faster return me, hahahaha......"

Here, i want to thank Wei Zhang, Dailou for the ideas they had given our group as well as Kai Ling, Jing Hang and his gf for lending us the water color. Terima kasih banyak banyak..

During the presentation, my group presented quite well as Miss Ho commented after we ended the presentation. Just a little accident when Wei Ren explain about the difficulties. Rock become "stone and brick", wakaka.... Anyway, our presentation proceeded quite smooth.

Recently,
I found myself tend to utter some offensive sayings to my friends,
I do not intend to do so,
really APOLOGIZE.........

Maybe because of the accumulation of assignment and homework,
it mends my mood and thinking ability;
When I contemplate about what I have said to them,
it was really foolish to say such words to my friends.....

LAN Song of Unity

Yesterday, the lecture theater 2 was full of noise and clatter because of the launching of "Song of Unity". This was the first time I felt that LAN was an interesting and enthralling subject. All group's members were so enthusiastic in creating their song and lyric. However, my group was totally different with other group.

Actually, we finished the song at 2am in the morning of the presentation day. Our song was entitled "We Love Our Malaysia". We really love Malaysia indeed, just in some ways, we are disappointed with ........ We started to do the song at 11.30 pm the day before. 10 of us (include steven) practised singing the song again and again. It was very funny actually because not everyone had the chance to sing at midnight with whole bunch of buddies. Thanks to Steven as he taught us to end the song with "MAaaaaaaaaaLayyyyyyyyyyySIaaaaaaaaaa"..

We planned to record it in a disc as we didn't have enough time to practise it and sang in front of audiences. Meng Zhen was the one who sacrificed his sleeping time to prepare the video and burn it into a CD. Thanks to Meng Zhen, you are excellent. Although it just took 2 hours to finish the entire song, we managed to get 5 marks (full marks) from Mr. William. Haha..... Work smart is always better than work hard. (Ms. Kim taught us in the class)

OSSLT and IELTS finished

A sense of relief flows through my mind after all there important tests - OSSLT (Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test) and IELTS (International English Language Testing System).

ICPU is full of tests, quizzes and assignments. In my opinion, the pivotal key to achieve high marks in ICPU is the teachers. Different teachers will have different marking range. So, level of achievement partly depends on how lucky you are to have a lenient teacher. However, the real students' abilities are equally important to secure a distinction.

Anyway, tests shouldn't occupy our whole college life. Dota is the best method to get rid of studying tension and the best way to blame people "Noob, Sohai......." (Wei Ren was the one who taught me these terms)

After these tests, we are all one step nearer to the graduation day and Canadian University (hopefully). Good Luck to every ICPU students...... Hope we all pass the OSSLT tests. (I should say we must absolutely pass the test)

Sunway Lagoon........

Yesterday, i spent my whole day in Sunway Lagoon with my cousins. After having our breakfast, we went there to entertain ourselves. The entrance ticket costs us 50 ringgits each for adult. Quite expansive ya...

We went to warm up in the small waterpark first. I noticed there were some new constructions at the theme park and that really attracted tourists. There were some water container that will pour water on people around the elevated small tower,and I experienced it, so "siok".......

We went to play amusing Roller Coaster, Tomahawk, Pirate Ship and Anaconda Ship later. For the Roller Coaster, it was not as thrilling as Genting Highland one, so small and slow, but we played it for twice, hehe..... After playing Tomahawk and Pirate Ship, i felt fainted as they turned 360 degrees continously. "Ouek".... Gonna die..... The Anaconda ship was so boring, except the water spilling part, it was totally humdrum. Prepare to fly .....

Then we went across the suspension bridge. As my cousin kept on jumping on the bridge, the oscillation made us afraid. And there was a old auntie came to my cousin and warned him not to do that again, but he just ignored it, the auntie posted an annoying expression on her face and left there silently. What a naughty cousin, he used to be like that since i knew him....

We took some breathtaking pictures there with my phone, hehe, that is the benefit of having a high resolution cellphone.

That was how I spent my time there. I quite satisfied with the services there except food. They forbade outside food and drinks (even mineral water). The food inside was double or triple the ordinary prices compared with outside food. Mineral water cost 3 ringgits, sh*t... They should alter their policies on this matter so that more people will come to enjoy there.

Finally, I enjoyed my dinner with my aunt and her family in "millennium restaurant". The curry fish there so spicy but tasty.... I wish to go out with my cousins again..hehe.....

Enjoy after IELTS.....

I just finished my IELTS yesterday, no comment on it, not too easy or too hard, moderate...

Immediately after the torturing test, whole bunch of my JPA friends went to Pizza Hut at SS15 to have our lunch, and that was our first time to go Pizza Hut for IELTS "farewell" party.

That night, I went to sunway with kah cai, chin sem, leong xing, jt and david to loiter and take a look at one JPA scholar (xiao wei) singing performance in "海螺" cafe. (Although I don't really know her). Too many people there, and the drink and food damn expansive, so we went away after her singing.

First, we went to A&W to have our root beer, long time no drink, so nice....... After that we went to snooker center, but due to the poor services and full of cigarette smoke around, we gave up this game.

Then we went to bowling center to play. Although the bowling machine had some stupid problems, we did enjoy the game. I laughed until stomachache when I saw kah cai's final hit. He heaved the ball with his hands on both sides without inserted his finger into the hole, and push the ball towards the bowling lane. When i saw his ball straight rolled into the drain immediately after his hands off, all of us laughed at him until can't breath, what a droll act, so funny!!!!!!!

We went back to condo after the game. Although I was very tired because I played squash before went to sunway, i was very happy because IELTS has over.

Speaking Test........

I completed my speaking test yesterday, relieve.......... My examiner was a Indian middle-aged man (Don't know local or foreigner) in room 3. If you were in room 3 also, can you tell me was him local or foreigner? He always smiled and looked friendly, but don't know how he evaluate our performance, hope that he was a lenient guy. Actually my speaking test was at 3.10pm, but i entered the room at 1.32pm, haha...... I knew I had taken Peter's turn...

He asked me about cloths at the beginning. How often you wear formal? What will you think about a person based on his/her cloth? You know, I started my speech with "I don't judge the book by its cover", is it appropriate? Of course i explained formal shirt symbolizes our respect to the particular ceremony and presentation.

"Please describe the cafe or restaurant you like."
Do you think this question very tough?? When I first looked at the question, OMG, what cafe and restaurant. Then "Asia Cafe" came to my mind as I just had my lunch there. Then i bluffed, Asia Cafe provides many kinds of food, Chinese food, Indian food, Malay food........... And I like it because its excellent services, good facilities and reasonable prices. (I forced myself to cheat as the food there damn expansive) One thing i satisfied with was that he stopped my speech in part 2 with "OK, 2 minutes have past, let discuss something you mentioned in part 2.". Is it means that i talked non-stop?? Don know.....

After that he asked me " What can you relate food with socialize around?" Then i answered I always go to have my meals with whole bunch of my friends after lecture class. Then we can know each other very well and know their favourite food or hated food. Do you think i have answered the question???

Last, he asked what are the different types of restaurant in your country and describe them. Without thinking, I uttered in Malaysia, we have 2 kinds of restaurant - Local (Eastern) Restaurant and Western Restaurant. Then i said Local food cheaper than Western food. We seldom go to western restaurant except for celebration and party purposes. Haiz, lame answers. He asked me whether local food is healthy? I said "Yes, although nasi lemak is a bit oily and spicy, it does provide protein, carbohydrate and balance nutrition........."

That was how I ended my speaking section..... Hope to get above 7.....

Sunway's Fireworks Display

What an Awesome starburst from the sky above Sunway Pyramid.. When I was watching "Kung Fu Dunk" just now, "Pom, Pom" sound was instantly spreaded to my ears. I immediately ran towards my housemate's room to take a glance what was happening.

In front of my sleepy eyes, a series of beautiful, magnificent, brilliant, fascinating fireworks whiz-bangers were bursting the silence of the sky...........

I have recorded part of the display with my 5 megapixels K850i, but it was quite far from my condo, sorry if that was not clear enough. Appreciate the splendid and marvelous fireworks below ya.........

Boring Day......

Today, sit in front of the monitor, contemplating how I gonna finish my ICPU programme and fly to CANADA (hopefully). Some of my friends took their IELTS today, and most of them said "Damn Difficult". Hope that this bad luck will not follow me in the coming week. I have found the final fantasy's melody, I always like to play this RPG game, haha.......

Chinese New Year.......

"Gong Xi Fa Cai", "Happy Chinese New Year"...... When these auspicious gratulations were spreaded to our ears, we would be simultaneously surrounded by elation with the arrival of Chinese New Year. I was so grateful to my family members and relatives for accompanying me to enjoy my Chinese New Year.

This year, I have received many red envelopes (ang pau). I thanked my parents as they gave me a "big" ang pau, not because of the amount of money, but their hardship of bringing me up since 1989. On the eve of Chinese New Year, my family have a "reunion dinner" with chaffy dishes. The gaiety of Chinese New Year and family love warmed my heart.

Fireworks, mandarin oranges (we used to call it 'gan') and cookies are things indispensable in celebrating Chinese New Year. I like Chinese New Year so much more than other festivals. I hope that i will have a prosperous year in 2008.

Sweet Memories at MRSM Beseri

Today, a string of memory abruptly ran through my mind. The memories with my former MRSM Beseri friends were vividly inhabiting somewhere in my brain. Delight, depress, triumph, failure that we have encountered before were unforgettable until the last breath of my life. I still remembered, how we reluctantly decided to go to this boarding school ,since most of the people there were unfamiliar to us. First day and second day in MRSM were torturous for some of us, especially my best friend “Potato Tan” who fell in sick just at the beginning of the orientation week.

The only thing that impressed us when we first stepped into the school was..... So many chinese seniors there, as we thought that non-bumis in MRSM were nearly “extinct” human. Our seniors, whether were Malay, Chinese or Indian, willing to assist us in giving us some advices on regulations in boarding school and the vital rules that we needed to follow. They were very useful when we continued our school life in MRSM, as we didn’t know the particular religious ordinances that we had to obey. “Tunjuk aurat” can be a severe fault in MRSM as that related to religious practice. Anyway, that was not a major menace for me.

Poh Yee n I were crazy on Mooncake Festival

Although always entangled with annoying assignments and homework, we knew to allocate ourselves some relaxing time , such as went to Kangar, Perlis to have a tasty lunch “KFC only actually”. We had a lot of fun together that other would not able to experience it from anywhere.... Have you been to the centre of the sea to have your lunch with you friends?? We have. Have you celebrated your Mooncake festival in school and your class at the night time with whole bunch of your friends?? We have. That’s the sweet and perpetual friendship that accompanies us to get through our SPM time.

Whenever we heard “MRSM B is the best, the best is MRSM B”, we will spontaneously and simultaneously remember the face of Mama Murizah - “Our lovely academic vice principal”. She had a sonorous voice that makes everyone pay his/ her full attention whenever she was giving speech, because she was such an austere teacher. Besides, my other teachers were very kind to me, especially my Bio’s teacher, Miss. Norma. She had been granted as the most lovely and friendly teacher in MRSM during Teacher’s Day.

Canadian Universities Fair

Well, another special day allocated to contemplate about the future. As time never tolerate with anyone, making a decision seems to be inevitable. Today, 10.30 am, departed from Ridzuan Condo to Wisma MCA to attend a prestigious Canadian Universities' Fair. Quite a number of universities joined this exhibition and showed their pros in entering their unis... Actually, we, Taylor's students just wandered around to find for free admission application. What a shame ya!!!! I have applied to Laihousie University and Carleton University.. Not just because the free application, but their kind services and explainations attracted many prospective students to turn up at their booths.

My "cute" friends and I loitered in the fair...........

After that I had my lunch in KLCC with my buddies.. Unfortunately, a demonstration of public due to the unbridled raising of prices for oil and petrol took place in front of this elegant building. Whole bunch of police controlled the condition carefully in case any undesired and terrible disaster occured. But, in my point of view, this was such a storm in a tea cup. There was no need to instruct so many police to keep the place safe.. Anyway, politicians always have their "confidential" way to deal with this kind of menace.

Around 3.10pm, we took bus back to Ridzuan with approximately 30 minutes. Doing my computer science lab assignments, i realized that i was so enthusiastic in searching a new method to do the Java program's coding. So, electical and electronic engineering perhaps is my most appropriate career in the coming future. Hope that i will success in securing a university's admission......
